The psychopathology of a settler state called Israel
By Dr. Habib Siddiqui: This year, the Government of Israel celebrated its 70th birthday in what may well be described as brutal, blatant, murderous, thuggish and shameful. Through its acts ofcolossal arrogance and orgy of wanton killings, once again, the settler racist state revealed that it is above scrutiny, beyond repair and cannot be tamed by either Gandhi-style protests or the world opinion. As the new Goliath in the world scene, it is there to stay by hook or crook! Read More

Pakistan imposes reciprocal restrictions on US diplomats
By Abdus Sattar Ghazali: Pakistani authorities have imposed “reciprocal” restrictions on the movement of U.S. diplomats in the country after Washington took similar measures, the Associated Press reported Friday. A letter sent to the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad says the restrictions will be implemented Friday (May 11). The move comes after the U.S. required Pakistani diplomats to get permission five days in advance to travel more than 25 miles from their embassy. The measures are likely to strain ties between the two sides, the agency said adding: “It was unclear what prompted the moves but the developments come weeks after Pakistan barred a U.S. diplomat from leaving the country after he killed a Pakistani motorcyclist in Islamabad. U.S. military attaché Col. Joseph Emanuel Hall, was not arrested because he enjoys diplomatic immunity. Hall is accused of running a red light and killing an Islamabad resident, Ateeq Baig, on April 7. Read More

Rohingyas genocide - no longer a myth
By Dr. Habib Siddiqui: In the last eight months, since August 2017, some 700,000 natives of Arakan (or the Rakhine state) – the Rohingya Muslims and Hindus – have been forced to leave their ancestral homes to settle in Bangladesh as refugees. They left behind everything that was once important to them and even family members – as their properties were looted before being burned down with living family members inside. Do the Rohingyas qualify as victims of genocide? Surely, the genocide of the Rohingyas of Myanmar is not happening by accident; it’s a deliberate act – albeit slowly but steadily - by successive murderous regimes providing enough warning signs for the world community to stop this monumental crime. Cologne Conference demands accountability of the Myanmar Government
By Dr. Habib Siddiqui: An international conference on “Rohingya Crisis and Solution” was convened on May 2, 2018 in Cologne, Germany. It was hosted by the Hasene IGMG (a not-for-profit organization of Turkish people working in Germany) and attended by some 500 participants from all over the globe and comprised representatives from the diplomatic corps, international organizations, human rights groups, academia, civil society, non-governmental organizations and media, as well as leaders of the Rohingya organizations. The Rohingyas are victims of a ‘slow-burning genocide’ that is perpetrated as a national project in Buddhist Myanmar (formerly Burma). Some 700,000 Rohingyas have been forced out of their ancestral homes in western Rakhine (formerly Arakan) statesince September 2017 to seek refuge inside Cox’s Bazar of Bangladesh. Hundreds of thousands of Rohingyas have also been living as internally displaced persons (IDPs) inside the Apartheid Myanmar since 2012. Read More

The Politics of Nobel Peace Prize
By Abdus Sattar Ghazali:A group of 18 GOP lawmakers led by Rep. Luke Messer of Indiana, have formally nominated President Donald Trump for the 2019 Nobel Peace Prize for his work toward peace in the Korean Peninsula. The nomination letter states that President Trump has worked "tirelessly to apply maximum pressure to North Korea to end its illicit weapons programs and bring peace to the region." This is the second time Trump is nominated for Nobel Peace Prize. In February 2016, the French news agency quoted Kristian Berg Harpviken, the director of the Peace Research Institute of Oslo, as saying that the Nobel committee received a letter nominating Trump for his “vigorous peace through strength ideology, used as a threat weapon of deterrence against radical Islam, ISIS, nuclear Iran and Communist China.” Tellingly, the Nobel Peace Prize has always been a political tool used by the West to promote its political objectives. While meant to recognize those whose work has greatly benefited or contributed to the advancement and unity of mankind, the Nobel Peace Prize has sometimes been given to those with violent pasts or who have been exposed for lying in the so-called factual work that earned them the award.
